ACORD Standards
Based in New York, ACORD (Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development) is a global, nonprofit insurance association whose mission is to facilitate the development and use of standards for the insurance, reinsurance and related financial services industries. With offices in London as well, ACORD accomplishes its mission by remaining an objective, independent advocate for sharing information among diverse platforms. ACORD Standards and services improve efficiency and expand market reach. Affiliated with ACORD are hundreds of insurance and reinsurance companies, and thousands of agents and brokers, related financial services organizations, software providers, and industry organizations worldwide.
TriSystems Software are ACORD members and have ACORD XML Reinsurance Certification.
TriSystems Software are working in partnership with ACORD to develop the ACORD Testing and Certification Facility (TCF), a solution based on our Universal Messaging Gateway (UMG) product.
We recently attended the annual ACORD/LOMA Insurance Systems Forum and won two major awards:
2006 Accomplishment Award - Infrastucture Platform Provider Award
These awards are given to any organization that provides shared services or an infrastructure platform that enhances the utilization or eases the implementation of ACORD standards. A shared service is defined as a business process automation that is centrally installed and accessed by multiple Insurers. An infrastructure platform is defined as a software product that is installed and used by an Insurer.
2006 Accomplishment Award - Web Services / SOA Award
This award is to recognize those companies in each of the standards ACORD programs developing web services and using ACORD messages.
